New Coach: Frindsbury Lawn Tennis Club would like to welcome Alex Woolmington to the club. Alex will take on the role of Head Coach at the club, having a strong tennis background, coaching at LTA (Level 4) and PTR, along with competing with the best on the British tour, reaching a career high of being in the top 300 in UK. Alex and the coaching team will undertake both adult and junior coaching, and we wish them all the very best. Please visit the Coaching page for more information.
The focus this year is to encourage more people (current and new members) playing tennis at the club, of all ages and abilities, improving the club's facilities for members, visitors and families, and promoting our junior and adult coaching. The club's tennis facilities are amongst the best in the Medway area and this should be promoted to all those wishing to play tennis.
Autumn and winter will soon be upon us, and I can understand that the winter months seem a rather dismal time to play tennis but you'd be surprised at how many people still battle the elements and play. With all 6 hard courts having floodlights, it makes playing in the evening possible all the way to 22:00.
Club play will be held on Sundays from 13:00, and also Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:00, with 3 of the courts having free floodlights! This, we hope, will encourage more players to join in socially and make new acquaintances.
For those thinking of joining, or if members, parents wish to contact me, please call or text me on my mobile - Jon Wheeler 07427 062017 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
There is a new addition to the web site in the Events section, which shows the proposed events being planned this year. I hope you all have a great year ahead, and I look forward to seeing you on the courts - Jon
